To race at the absolute front in model motorsport, you can't rest on past successâyou have to tinker, test, and take risks. That's exactly what we did as Team SR-Modellsport together with MCD Racing at this year's European Championship in Starec, Czech Republic.
The result? An unforgettable race week and the title of 2026 European Vice-Champion!

Taking Risks with the Setup: Composite Parts at the European Championship
For the event at RCA Starec Clubâa huge thank you to the organizers for this dream track!âwe made a bold decision. On our MCD RR5, we went all-in on a composite specification, swapping out several aluminum components for flexible yet extremely durable plastic parts (suspension arms, hub carriers, and more).
The verdict right from free practice: the car had incredible grip right away, stayed planted in fast corners, and showed fantastic pace.
Pure Thrills: The Road to the Podium

Qualifying (P4): Consistently fast lap times earned us 4th overallâgiving us 2nd starting position for the semi-final!

Semi-Final (P1): A flawless start, great rhythm, and ultimately the semi-final win. That secured us a front-row start (P2) for the grand main final!

Main Final (P2): The opening minutes were pure wheel-to-wheel action at the highest international level. A few minor driving errors cost us a bit of time along the way, but the MCD RR5 remained extremely well-handling until the very last lap. In the end, we crossed the finish line as 2026 European Vice-Champions!
Double Victory for MCD Racing & the Winning Equipment
What makes this even more awesome for the MCD family: 1st place winner Mael was also running an MCD RR5 and took home the European title! Having two MCD machines at the top of the podium proves once again the absolute dominance of this platform on the international stage.
